Our Story
We matched online, right on the edge of a period that would test and strengthen our bond in ways we never expected. When the pandemic began, Justin returned to Alberta to be with his family and our connection turned long-distance with calls and online dates. In a time of uncertainty, those conversations became a constant - an unexpected gift that let us truly get to know each other heart to heart.
When we were finally able to meet in person, our first date was simple and perfect: Ice cream in the park with spring in the air and that feeling that something special was beginning.
Since then, our lives have been filled with countless adventures both big and small. We’ve explored new places, shared quiet moments, and built a home together - complete with our two beloved (and mischievous) cats: Nox and Pixie.
In the spring of 2023 on our 3 year anniversary, we returned to L'Île-d'Orléans, the place where we took our first trip together and where we first truly fell in love. It was there, surrounded by memories and the beauty of the island, that Justin proposed by the water.
From online dates across provinces to bickering sweetly like an old married couple, our story has been full of laughter, love and a sense that we’ve always been meant to find each other.
We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of the people who mean so much to us.
